Overview:

A leading global financial services organization is seeking a seasoned communications professional to lead public relations efforts for its Digital Assets business. This role is responsible for developing and executing media strategies that support business objectives, enhance brand visibility, and manage reputational risk.

The successful candidate will have deep experience in media relations, thought leadership development, and strategic communications-particularly within the digital assets and blockchain sectors. This position involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners to craft compelling narratives and secure impactful media coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement global PR strategies for the Digital Assets business, including media outreach, interviews, bylined articles, media tours, and analyst engagement.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications colleagues to ensure consistent messaging and integrated campaign execution.
  • Create and promote thought leadership content that positions senior executives as industry experts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Tier 1 and trade media, especially those focused on blockchain, crypto, and financial technology.
  • Manage external PR agencies, providing strategic direction and reviewing media materials and placements.
  • Monitor media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities for engagement and visibility.
  • Support social media initiatives related to media efforts, including content creation and multimedia storytelling.
  • Ensure compliance with internal risk protocols and uphold high ethical standards in all communications.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in public relations, communications, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics into compelling narratives.
  • Experience in digital assets, blockchain, or financial technology is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to measure campaign effectiveness and optimize strategies.
