Our client is a leading FMCG distributor specializing in premium food and beverage products, operating within a fast-paced, high-SKU environment across Saudi Arabia. They are seeking a Demand Planning Manager to be based in Jeddah, responsible for driving forecasting accuracy, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring seamless supply continuity. This role is critical in balancing demand, supply, and cost while maintaining product freshness across the portfolio. Success will be defined by the ability to deliver accurate forecasts, reduce waste and stock inefficiencies, and maintain high service levels across all channels.

This is a mid-to-senior, operational and analytical role with full ownership of demand and supply planning within a distribution-led FMCG business. The role requires a hands-on professional who can independently manage forecasting, procurement planning, and inventory control, while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving planning processes, ensuring stock availability, and driving operational efficiency across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end demand planning and supply planning to ensure forecast accuracy and optimal stock availability
  • Perform hands-on demand forecasting using sales data, inventory levels, and supplier lead times
  • Align procurement and replenishment plans with demand forecasts and business targets
  • Manage inventory levels, shelf-life, and stock aging using FEFO principles to minimize waste
  • Monitor slow-moving items and implement actions to reduce write-offs and improve turnover
  • Coordinate import and inbound supply processes, including supplier communication and documentation
  • Collaborate with logistics and 3PL partners to support efficient stock movement and service levels
  • Provide regular reporting on forecast accuracy, inventory performance, and supply risks
  • Work closely with sales, finance, and operations teams to align planning with commercial priorities
  • Drive continuous improvement of planning systems, SOPs, and forecasting methodologies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, or procurement within FMCG distribution
  • Strong hands-on experience in forecasting and inventory management within high-SKU environments
  • Proven knowledge of shelf-life management, FEFO principles, and stock aging control
  • Experience working with FMCG products, particularly food and perishable goods
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience in Saudi Arabia FMCG distribution is essential
