Cluster Groups & Events Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful event planning.
  • Supervise and develop new procedures for the Events Department to ensure managing entire event process from start to finish.
  • Monitor progress of events and adjust as needed to ensure success.
  • Assume complete responsibility for learning from initial orientation and training programs conducted when joining the Groups & Events team. Prepare all typed materials (banquet event orders, files excels as per internal procedures, charge forms and all other inter-departmental forms) accurately and thoroughly.
  • Conducts site inspections and ensure site inspections are conducted by the events department as per the appropriate standards to cover relevant details and create opportunities for incremental revenue for the hotels.
  • Acts as liaison between MICE sales team and Groups & Events team, sharing important information that might affect hotel availability or operations challenges.
  • Meet & greet group organizers, collect feedback, handle any complaints, and promote hotel facilities.
  • Attend operational meeting when needed.

Knowledge And Skills

  • Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment, including oral and written language skills in English & Greek language; Any additional languages are an advantage.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills within office & operational management experience
  • Ability to multitask through daily tasks.
  • Supervision and delegation skills are required.
  • Excellent computer skills, word processing, spreadsheet, power point presentations, PDF, email, and hotel systems such as Opera PMS, Fidelio
  • Ability to pay attention to details and at the same time to have an inherent thoroughness in task approach, follow up and completion within a timely manner.
  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external guests, always focused on company goals and needs.
  • Prepare forecast & budget for forthcoming months related to Banquet & Social events revenue by extracting all the information from online hotel systems.

Experience

  • At least 4 years in a supervisory role in travel, tourism, or hotel service sector
  • At least 2 years of experience in groups & events management.
