Strategic recruitment partnership with global FMCG company – MENA

Overview

In June 2024, a tier 1 FMCG multinational organization approached Carter Murray to support them in filling some critical and challenging roles across the MENA region. With a need for highly specialized talent, the client tasked our team with identifying and securing top-tier candidates for 10 key positions, including Brand Managers, Senior Brand Managers, Cluster Marketing Manager, Senior Manager of Ecommerce Performance & Planning, Head of Growth, and Head of Promotions and Activations within their digital sales function.

the challenge

Across the region, several marketing and digital positions were challenging to fill, and the client needed support to re-ignite the searches and look for new strategies for candidate attraction. In addition, there were some new positions within digital sales that required market mapping for top talent.

OUR approach

To ensure a seamless and effective recruitment process, Carter Murray acted as an extension of the client’s internal talent acquisition team. Our approach included:

  • Close Collaboration: Regular weekly update calls and ongoing communication with HRBPs and line managers to align on priorities and challenges.
  • Comprehensive Talent Mapping: Leveraging our extensive regional network and industry expertise, we identified and engaged with high-calibre candidates who were not actively looking but had the required skill set.
  • Process Management & Tracking: We built a customized internal talent management tool to track, submit, and monitor candidates through the various recruitment stages, ensuring full transparency and efficiency.
  • Reference Checking & Offer Management: We conducted thorough reference checks to validate candidate credentials and experience, ensuring a seamless transition from offer extension to acceptance, while managing negotiations and finalizing contracts effectively.

The outcome

This intensive and targeted recruitment project delivered outstanding results:

  • 128 profiles provided throughout the project duration
  • 8 successful offers were extended and accepted
  • 1 role was cancelled internally by the client
  • 2 additional placements made directly by Nestlé

Beyond the numbers, this project strengthened Carter Murray’s relationship with our client, reinforcing our reputation as a trusted recruitment partner. The success of this engagement followed two senior hires we had previously made in marketing, communications, and consumer Insights, solidifying our long-term collaboration.
