Carter Murray have partnered with a well known public sector brand who are looking to add an experienced Senior Content Manager to their Internal Communications team.

As Senior Content Manager you will lead the Editorial team to create compelling campaigns to connect and engage employees across the brand.

This role is very flexible with hybrid working, and just needs to be within reach of one of the offices below to go into as and when needed –

London, Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds or Cardiff


  • Develop and deliver an Editorial Strategy that improves employees’ understanding of the connection between their roles and the companie’s purpose, as well as pride in our mission.
  • Making sure the content published is relevant, timely and provides a clear line of sight so that everything we do clearly aligns to the companies mission.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Editorial Calendar that encompasses campaigns, leadership communications and visibility, proof points and stakeholder/external engagement.
  • Create exceptional, outcome-focused editorial for multiple channels – making it appropriate for different audiences, with a digital-first mind set. This includes identifying content other than written copy such as video, GIFs, infographics etc.
  • Ensure that all Internal Communications content amplifies employee voice at every opportunity, to foster a two-conversation.
  • Develop an internal tone of voice that reflects our organisation and is in a human and friendly style.

Skills & Experience

  • You will have a strong understanding of how effective communications influences organisational culture, employee engagement and behavioural change.
  • Extensive experience of writing compelling copy and story-telling for internal audiences
  • Significant experience of creating and maintaining an Editorial Calendar that brings our purpose to life and builds pride among our people
  • Experience of managing a team is desirable but not essential
