As a part of their expansion plan, my client is looking for enthusiastic and experienced business development professionals to take charge of new business development of application services in Australia.

My client has been providing Products and Services to various Global and Regional Financial institutions, from almost 40 years. As a pioneer IT Service provider, they carry deep banking domain expertise and experience on latest technological trends. Their developed platforms power the operations of more than 200 institutions in 50 countries, supporting multiple business verticals, accessible through Mobile and internet channels.

Desired for the Position:

  • Incumbent should have direct selling exposure and experience in IT services of handling large key accounts in the banking/ financial services domain
  • Good connects in and knowledge of the banking space in the Australian market.
  • Should be willing to travel extensively
  • 10 years’ experience in IT Services Sales
  • Previous experience working in an IC role

The Role:

  • Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements
  • Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners, discovering and exploring opportunities
  • Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials, evaluating options, resolving internal priorities, recommending equity investments
  • Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials, estimating partners’ needs and goals
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, integrating contract requirements with business operations
  • Work closely with Delivery Team and tap relationships with existing clients, to open doors for new business
  • Ensure timely collection of payment as per agreed terms

The Candidate:

  • A sales professional with relevant experience especially in selling IT services (Application services, Consulting services, Infrastructure Services)
  • Proficient and demonstrable experience in prospecting, qualifying, creating value-based demonstrations
  • Proven account management skills
  • Should have relevant experience in Banking and Financial Domain
  • Should have global market intelligence, knowledge of competitors’ offerings and future business plans
  • Should have proven ability in responding to tender documents (RFP), writing proposals, reports and supporting documents
  • Ability to develop effective sales plan using sales methodology
  • Demonstrated Leadership capabilities
  • Excellent networking, interpersonal and negotiation skills

Critical Success Factors:

  • Sales Hunting experience in IT Application services
  • Sales experience in IT Infrastructure services
  • Knowledge of Banking Domain/ Financial Services
  • Ability to handle large Accounts
  • Local Connects in the Region, in Banking and Financial industry

Salary: 180-200K Base + Super + comms
