Newly created opportunity to join a leading and successful global financial services business. My client is currently growing the marketing team and is looking for a Marketing & Events Manager. Reporting into the Head of Marketing Operations EMEA; you will have a key role in both the strategy development and implementation of marketing events.

My client is looking for a Marketing and Events Manager who ideally has experience from the insurance industry or within B2B Financial Services, so please only apply if you have experience in either.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with the business areas you support for events, tradeshows, internal events, townhall logistics, hospitality, employee events, broker trainings, webinars, etc. all to be underpinned by growth objectives, business priorities, market trends and broker requirements. Be the main point of contact for the events piece. Maintain up-to-date knowledge on customer and broker issues, market trends and competitor activity to strategically elevate events.
  • Hands on approach including research of venues, supplier management, negotiating and managing contracts; liaising with procurement/legal to ensure all business requirements and processes are adhered to; venue sourcing; manage agencies and suppliers. Manage and coordinate all event logistics, create event website, invitations and curation of guest lists.
  • Manage all pre-event planning, organising and sourcing guest speakers, event materials. Work with stakeholders to develop/advise on programme, theme and speakers. Manage all aspects of onsite logistics including branding and set up, rehearsals, guest registrations, time keeping, guest experience to ensure that all runs smoothly and to budget. Manage event team on site and give full briefings to employees.
  • Develop B2B integrated marketing campaigns and collateral targeting specific segments with the aim of acquiring and retaining new business. This includes the production, implementation of campaigns and documentation whilst adhering to brand guidelines, legal and compliance guidance and managing to budget
  • Manage the production of marketing collateral including content creation, agency briefs, approval process, translations, and distribution for product lines.
  • Support team to adapt, implement and project manage global and regional marketing campaigns and projects.
  • Track and measure campaigns for teams with a stronger focus on hospitality. Collect and use data to inform new campaigns and evaluate existing event tactics, content and collateral.
  • Support the Head of Marketing Operations on larger projects and on merchandise management. Hands on approach required and merchandise ownership will be fully handed over.

Experience required

  • Insurance or Financial Services experience
  • Experience in developing and delivering events, both logistically and strategically, grounded in market insights, defining goals and managed to budget.
  • A strong passion for event end-to-end organisation including tradeshows, sponsorships, hospitality events, Company owned events, training programmes, webinars and internal employee events including townhalls.
  • A solid understanding of marketing tactics and strategy (campaigns, internal communication, collateral creation, project management) to support business teams.
  • Experience in supporting the development of marketing and campaign plans to be rolled-out across EMEA.
  • Experience in developing marketing collateral and project management of marketing roll-out
  • Familiar with using marketing technology e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Microsoft Office, Trello, Microsoft Teams, digital asset management platforms. Strong experience with Cvent is preferred as this role will own the tool for the EMEA region.
  • strong communications skills and an appetite to get involved with marketing transformation
