My client is a global leader in the travel & tourism mobility/SaaS space who are seeking an entrepreneurial, innovative and product-focused Managing Director to lead the strategic direction within their specific marketplace category. This role will require the post holder to have a deep understanding of the mobility sector and/or SaaS solutions for providers and have a passion for excellent customer service. You will also be able to demonstrate a proven track record of accomplishment in driving growth. The successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to shape the future of the ground transportation industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for implementing strategic plans to help guide the company’s growth and position their marketplace as a continued leader in the mobility market.
- Oversee the further development of the SaaS marketplace solution.
- Monetize and scale new solution and products.
- Manage and continually enhance current daily operations of the marketplace, ensuring that the brand is always maintaining high standards of pricing, customer service and meets its operational and financial targets.
- Work closely with other group MD’s on strategic direction of the marketplace.
- Develop and introduce market leading search and demand data capabilities to ensure customer requirements are always met.
- Overall responsibility for all supplier relationships within the marketplace area of the business.
- Develop and manage relationships with industry partners, stakeholders, and key clients.
- Always ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, maintaining the brand reputation for integrity and ethical business practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience in a senior management role, ideally within the transportation sector and/or SaaS sector.
- Strong technical and product focus ability with a strong understanding and or experience of new and up and coming technologies like blockchain, web3 and AI.
- Strong business acumen, with a record of accomplishment of driving growth and operational excellence.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a team.
- Understanding of global markets and experience in navigating complex regulatory environments.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse market trends and translate them into actionable business strategies.
- Passion for delivering outstanding product.
