A fantastic opportunity to join and help shape an ambitious well-funded, scale-up Fintech business that provides financial services to the SME market. Our client is looking for an innovative and creative Marketing professional who has strong digital marketing expertise with a background in Marketing in B2B Financial Services.

Reporting into the CEO, you will be responsible for leading and developing the marketing activity (aimed at the SME market). The role will be a broad role encompassing all aspects of marketing with a particular focus on digital

The business is developing a market leading digital platform, has a track record of successful lending to SMEs and developing partnerships with leading UK banks. The business is now preparing to relaunch under a new brand with an enhanced SaaS business model.

Reporting to the CEO, you will design, support and deliver marketing strategies across the business to drive revenue growth across the UK initially

You will be responsible for translating business objectives into marketing strategies and go-to-market plans to ensure that brand perception, customer and partner acquisition and retention goals are achieved

Key responsibilities:

  • Delivering a scalable inbound lead generation strategy to help drive the growth of the business
  • Responsible for all aspects of end-to-end campaign management, including email; website; digital marketing; events; analysis; data segmentation, targeting, copywriting; and social media.
  • Develop, design, and execute marketing plans and tactics across the entire marketing mix, including content marketing (e.g. blogs, thought leadership, white papers, webinars, videos, etc.)
  • Working with the leadership team to create compelling content to support lead-generation campaigns and audience growth.
  • Building strong, trusted internal stakeholder relationships with the sales teams.
  • Design and control budgets and allocate resources amongst projects.
  • Becoming fluent in the vocabulary of the finance industry, gaining a deep understanding of the market structure, trends and participants to effectively design go-to-market plans that resonate with the target audience

About you:

  • 8+ years in marketing, with a proven track record in marketing financial services (B2B)
  • Strong appreciation for the importance of brand and ideally with experience of raising the brand profile of either a new business, rebranded business or challenger brand
  • Excellent copywriting and communication skills, with natural story-telling abilities
  • Track record of planning and executing results-driven marketing campaigns with experience working with or managing agencies.
  • Demonstrable experience in the development and delivery of successful data-driven marketing plans
  • Experience in CRM systems and marketing automation platforms
  • Ability to report and present to senior management
  • Proven experience hiring and leading skilled and effective teams, adept at identifying and bringing out the necessary skill sets.

Nice to have:

  • Strong experience, ideally in a start-up or scale-up business
  • Professional chartered marketer (CIM)
  • Experienced using marketing automation platforms eg.HubSpot, Marketo or Pardot
  • A healthy interest in martech and growth hacking tactics
  • Thorough knowledge of web analytics (e.g. Google Analytics, WebTrends etc.) and Google Adwords
