A leading, international FTSE 100 business is looking to appoint a new position of Head of Corporate Communications & External Affairs, supporting the broader communications function in its growth.
The role reports to the Head of Corporate Affairs & IR, and will be responsible for developing and delivering the corporate communications strategy for the group. Your remit will include public affairs, working with various internal and external stakeholders to prioritise developing a strategy for key subject areas. You will also take the lead on protecting and manging the company's protection through setting out a clear crisis communications strategy, including the international businesses. You will be the main point of contact to develop strong relationships with media representatives and act as a spokesperson. The role requires this individual to manage and lead all digital media including social media channels, advising on a suitable strategy for communications. The role sits in a broader IR & Communications team so you will support the IR team on financial reporting and adhoc capital markets announcements.
The ideal candidate must have media and corporate communications experience, ideally within a large, multinational organisation working with various stakeholders in different business units. The role will be fast paced and the candidate must be able to work with senior stakeholders, and think creatively using initiative in this new position.
