Carter Murray have exclusively partnered with an industry leading Law firm who are seeking an experienced Corporate Business Development Specialist with knowledge of group marketing and experience taking responsibility for driving action, developing and implementing marketing strategies to join the business at a critical stage in their growth plans globally.

Role Overview

You will report to the Assistant Director of Business Development and will be responsible for supporting the implementation of group marketing and business development plans, for the initiatives to secure new clients, strengthen existing relationships, and increase visibility of the practices.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Coordinate and support the preparation of new business proposals and pitches, client presentations and bring creativity and new ideas on formats and delivery.
  • Prepare and submit corporate transactions reports for quarterly league table rankings.
  • Support logistical and other activities related to lateral integration.
  • Identify, assess, and coordinate participation in conferences, seminars, forums, sponsorships, and speaking and writing opportunities, and ensure effective participation.
  • Produce and disseminate external client alerts.
  • Develop and maintain segmented client and prospect mailing lists.

Marketing

  • Work with communications team to develop and/or update group marketing materials, including client alerts, website content, newsletters, brochures, and other external communication campaigns.
  • Produce and update as needed marketing materials such as brochures and descriptions.
  • Draft, review, and proofread internal and external communications.
  • Draft submissions for relevant practices for directory listings and other awards.

Desired skills/experiences

  • Demonstrated background of accomplishment in marketing and business development. Previous law firm experience is highly desirable.
  • Confident communicator
  • Organised with ability to prioritise workload.
  • Can adhere to tight and demanding deadlines.
  • Proficient in use of MS Office (specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills with ability to liaise effectively with internal clients and colleagues and external suppliers and consultants.
