CONTENT WRITER – FINANCIAL SERVICES
£35,000-£40,000 Per Annum
BASED CITY, LONDON (HYBRID WORKING)
My Client who are an online investment advisor and one of the largest digital wealth management companies in Europe is looking for a UK Content Writer to join their growing team.
As a Content Writer, you will be responsible for the English content, which broadly falls in two categories: Product & Commercial messaging as well as Financial editorial content.
You will work cross-functionally with marketing, design, asset allocation, investor advisory and product teams to execute the content strategy as well as develop effective commercial and marketing messaging.
The successful candidate must also have a proven experience working in the financial services and/or fintech industries.
The role is based in London with 2 office days per week.
Responsibilities
- You will execute content in various formats from long to short form, from print/brochure to web to small screen, from written content to video
- Improve the commercial success of proposition thanks to compelling and relevant messaging.
- Drive customer engagement & credibility in the market with the editorial content.
- Produce and adjust content to a variety of formats e.g. Webpage, small screens, blogs posts, articles, thought leadership papers, brochures, video / podcast script, infographics, ad copy, banners, etc…
- Map and analyse competitors, key financial editorial players and the media landscape to identify and develop new content opportunities;
- Monitor results and content effectiveness via clear set of metrics and kpis;
- Leverage on internal/external data and research to identify customer and market insights and nurture content storytelling;
- Suggest, test and monitor new content topics and formats to increase awareness, consideration and relevance in the UK market;
- Stay updated on appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistency in messaging.
- Produce materials in a variety of formats covering broadly two areas:
Product & commercial messaging:
- Write original copy and edit content for a range of marketing channels, commercial initiatives and products
- Collaborate cross-functionally from concept development to delivery of final product
- Ensure written materials are clear, concise, persuasive and catchy, as well as adapted to the medium, to the marketing channel and to specific commercial objectives
Financial editorial content:
- Provide clients with timely, transparent, unique and updated content to interpret the financial market and trends
- Execute original, clear and credible content such as blog posts, articles, whitepapers, market commentaries;
- Execute English content for all other marketing teams (e.g. social media, SEO, ASO, CRM marketing, PR)
- Understand the native requirements of each channel
Requirements
- 2-3 years of financial markets / investing / wealth management experience is a must
- Proven content and copywriting skills essential with a strong commercial / marketing sensibility
- Ability to review financial materials with excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency in British English is essential both spoken and written, with an eye to catch spelling and grammar errors
- Ability to write catchy, persuasive copy and to adjust to various formats/medium: long & short form, small screen, video, etc..
- Strong team player able to effectively collaborate with other disciplines: design, marketing/PR, investor advisors, asset allocation, product
- Strive in fast-paced environment: ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects and tight deadlines
- Ability to own projects, demonstrate good judgement when working with team members and client contacts, and take initiative
