We have a current opportunity for a Chief Commercial and Business Development Officer on a permanent basis. The position will be based in Riyadh.

Your Role

You will serve as a senior executive responsible for leading the company’s Sales and Business Development & Marketing departments to meet revenues and sales growth targets by overseeing sales, business development, marketing, PR, and communication activities and developing and executing associated strategies.

This pivotal role encompasses tasks such as recognizing growth prospects, securing strategic partnerships, expanding market reach, and boosting revenue. You will collaborate closely with the company’s executive team to synchronize sales and business development endeavours with the organization’s objectives and mission. You will be crucial in fostering connections with key stakeholders, evaluating market trends and client needs, and effectively mitigating risks tied to new ventures.

Your Team

You will be working in the agile and dynamic environment, consisting of a number of like-minded individuals and reporting directly to the company CEO.

Responsibilities

Hiring and retention

  • Hire, develop, and retain sales, marketing, and business development personnel by working with the People and Culture Department to develop a comprehensive process for attracting, onboarding, and mentoring top talents.

Strategy and planning

  • Develop and execute sales, marketing communication, and business development strategies, provide forecasts of sales performance, and set sales targets in alignment with the company’s strategy and objectives, ensuring sustained prosperity. Follow and meet the KPIs set by the company.

Analysis and recommendations

  • Lead revenue forecasting by assessing sales effectiveness from business tactics, pricing, and sales strategies to competitor activities and in-depth market research and performance analysis.
  • Present progress reports against key metrics and recommendations to stakeholders and implement changes if necessary. Manage risks, fortifying the company’s financial stability.

Relationship building and collaboration.

  • Work with other company leadership and executive officer team members to foster collaboration, faster revenue growth, and higher profitability.

Customer advocacy

  • Drive the company’s customer acquisition strategy with a positive and efficient customer experience from initial engagement through sales completion. Manage key account relationships personally.

Leadership and supervision

  • Build a sound organizational structure and a well-designed territory and account management plan that allows sales reps to achieve their quotas,
  • Drive and oversee all sales-related activities, including assessing, implementing, and reporting on sales strategies to increase revenue, growth, and profitability.
  • Drive and oversee all business development-related activities, including identification of growth opportunities, strategic partnerships and alliances, acquisition targets, innovations, and revenue expansion.
  • Drive and oversee marketing, PR, and communication team and the company’s social media to ensure the company’s brand is well-represented. Sync the online strategy with the goal of building relationships with prospective customers that become leads in the sales process.

About You

Your Experience / Skills

Experience:

  • Extensive experience in business development, sales, marketing, or a related field is essential. Prior experience in leadership roles, such as director or vice president, can be advantageous.

Industry Knowledge:

  • A deep understanding of the energy services market, including knowledge of market trends, competitive landscape, regulatory environment, and emerging opportunities.

Strategic Thinking:

  • Ability to develop and execute long-term business development plans aligned with the company’s vision and goals and ability to assess market dynamics and identify growth opportunities.

Strong Networking:

  • Ability to build and maintain a robust network of potential clients, industry contacts, potential partners, and key stakeholders to open doors to new revenue generation, valuable collaborations, and business opportunities.

Negotiation Skills:

  • Strong negotiation skills for partnerships, alliances, acquisitions, and other deals. Strong negotiation skills, including creating win-win agreements.

Risk Management:

  • Assessing and managing risks associated with various initiatives. This includes identifying potential pitfalls and developing strategies to mitigate them.

Financial Acumen:

  • A solid understanding of financial principles and the ability to read financial models, assess ROI, and manage budgets to evaluate business development initiatives’ financial viability.

Adaptability:

  • Adaptability and the ability to pivot when necessary due to the dynamic and evolving business landscape.

Results-Oriented:

  • A results-oriented approach focused on achieving measurable growth, revenue, and profitability for the organization.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, electrical engineering or a related field
  • Master / MBA degree preferred
