Chief Commercial and Business Development will serve as a senior executive responsible for leading the company’s Sales and Business Development & Marketing departments to meet revenues and sales growth targets by overseeing sales, business development, marketing, PR, and communication activities and developing and executing associated strategies. You will be working in the agile and dynamic environment of Solutions Valley, consisting of a number of like-minded individuals and reporting directly to the company CEO.

This pivotal role encompasses tasks such as recognizing growth prospects, securing strategic partnerships, expanding market reach, and boosting revenue. You will collaborate closely with the company’s executive team to synchronize sales and business development endeavours with the organization’s objectives and mission. You will be crucial in fostering connections with key stakeholders, evaluating market trends and client needs, and effectively mitigating risks tied to new ventures.

Responsibilities will include the following: Hiring and retention, Analysis and recommendations, Relationship building and collaboration, Customer advocacy, Leadership and supervision

Experience / Skills

  • Extensive experience in business development, sales, marketing, or a related field is essential. Prior experience in leadership roles, such as director or vice president, can be advantageous.

Industry Knowledge:

  • A deep understanding of the energy services market, including knowledge of market trends, competitive landscape, regulatory environment, and emerging opportunities.
  • Ability to develop and execute long-term business development plans aligned with the company’s vision and goals and ability to assess market dynamics and identify growth opportunities.
  • Ability to build and maintain a robust network of potential clients, industry contacts, potential partners, and key stakeholders to open doors to new revenue generation, valuable collaborations, and business opportunities.
  • Strong negotiation skills for partnerships, alliances, acquisitions, and other deals. Strong negotiation skills, including creating win-win agreements.
  • The ability to analyze data, market research, and financial information for making informed decisions about commercial and business development opportunities and risks.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey their vision and strategies to internal teams, clients, partners, and stakeholders. This includes written and verbal communication and presentation skills in Arabic and English.
  • Effective leadership qualities for hiring the right talents and building the team, motivating and guiding employees responsible for executing sales and business development plans.
  • Assessing and managing risks associated with various initiatives. This includes identifying potential pitfalls and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • A solid understanding of financial principles and the ability to read financial models, assess ROI, and manage budgets to evaluate business development initiatives’ financial viability.
  • Adaptability and the ability to pivot when necessary due to the dynamic and evolving business landscape.
  • A results-oriented approach focused on achieving measurable growth, revenue, and profitability for the organization.
  • Ethical behavior and a commitment to integrity for building trust with partners, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Being open to new ideas and innovative approaches to business development and sales in identifying and capitalizing on emerging opportunities.


Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, electrical engineering or a related field
  • Master / MBA degree preferred
