Our client is a global travel platform that connects travellers with over 100,000 offerings in 350 destinations globally. You will join a team of globally connected dedicated, talented and passionate people. The position available is a Business Development Manager for the ANZ region, joining a growing team located at their ANZ HQ in Sydney. You will source, develop and maintain a high-quality portfolio of attractions, tours, and activities for our clients expanding global customer base.

The role

  • Source new partners and products, clearly delivering brand value to business partners to ensure the best offering in the market
  • Develop and maintain mutually beneficial business relationship with partners within your remit
  • Work closely with product, editorial and operation teams based in company HQ to facilitate the onboarding and maintenance of activities
  • Identify market trends and provide competitor intelligence to optimise business strategies
  • Drive revenue via the platform via ensuring the correct products are sourced and optimised for a global customer base
  • Deliver on product portfolio and sales targets, as well as other strategic KPIs as agreed with the leadership team

The ideal profile

  • Proven experience either in a sales, business development, market development or partnerships sales capacity in the travel, tourism, or hospitality sectors
  • Destination management, OTA supply or local merchant acquisition background with travel products - experience with attractions, activities, tours and transportation within Australia/New Zealand preferred
  • Comfortable with change, you posess a start-up attitude, work in a collaborative way and have an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Strong commercial sense, as well as solid analytical, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise work based on strategic importance and level of impact on business
  • You have a global mindset, and are comfortable working with people from different cultural backgrounds and in different time zones
  • Open to travel circa 25%
  • Consideration for other locations outside Sydney considered for the right candidate
