NEW Business Development Manager role with leading international law firm.
The Business Development Manager will manage and drive the practice area marketing and business development initiatives for a specific practice group. You must have a proactive approach to work and have strong influencing skills in order to advise effectively at partner level. This role provides the opportunity to cover a wide range of business development and marketing disciplines.
You will work with the partners to develop business development plans and create a marketing plan that supports this. You will also work with partners and other fee earners to provide strong project management in the implementation of the plans, ensuring activities are carried out to time and budget. You will bring a strategic and planned approach to develop action plans for existing clients and targets and develop a close understanding of the work of the group(s) with regular attendance at departmental /team meetings. You will work alongside the pitch executive to provide strategic support to the pitch activity including analysing the opportunity as well as carrying out pitch debriefs internally. You will also work with the marketing communications team to implement practice-wide marketing campaigns and work with partners and designated fee-earners on the development and production of all practice area materials, both on- and off-line, in line with the brand guidelines ensuring key messages are effectively communicated.
Successful candidates will have previous business development and marketing experience from the legal sector, ideally at Manager level. You will have experience dealing with senior stakeholders with strong advisory and influencing skills.
