Carter Murray Retail are recruiting for a gaming and tech business based in the UAE who are looking to grow and hire an Area Operations Manager.

The Area Operations Manager will hold a senior position within the company and has a fantastic opportunity to grow into a general management role as the business develops. The business is growing year on year and due to this growth the owners are looking for an experience operations manager to manage the day to day operations and help with the roll out of the new store openings across the UAE with long term growth plan across the GCC.

This chosen candidate who look after the retail operations and head office functions which would include technical, accounting, procurement, operations, logistics , and sales (B2C & B2B). Although the core part of this business will be putting in process and operations the right candidate will be involved in all areas of the business. Key Responsibilities/Duties

§ Oversee product merchandising and inventory levels to ensure processes flow smoothly

§ Analyze sales data to determine if store is meeting financial goals and implement plans to improve store performance

§ Conduct periodic inventory analysis to determine which brands/products are optimized in terms of quantity and ensure ordering protocols are sufficient to satisfy sales goals

§ Determine the layout of retail store merchandise so that it is visually appealing

§ Instructing employees on how to maintain the design with the arrival of new merchandise as well as teaching employees how to optimize space for special events, such as in-store discount sales

§ Review cost of inventory and operational expenses in order to maximize profitability

§ Oversee activities generated by Business Development team to ensure smooth flow of operations

§ Identify possible growth opportunities and implement strategic plans of the company

§ Setting monthly and annual budget along with Accounting/Finance team

Organizational Role

§ Work towards achieving company goals in terms of sales and profitability

§ Ensure the availability, professionalism and reliability of required resources to carry out all the tasks related to the different company functions

§ Ensure all the technological needs of the company are identified to ensure that the department processes are performed efficiently and cost effectively

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

§ The candidate would ideally be a qualified Retail Operations Manager / Area Manager or Flagship Store Manager with no less than 5 years of progressively responsible experience

§ Must have a high level of written and oral communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus but not required)

§ Must have valid UAE driving license

§ Ideally have a passion or knowledge for the tech/ gaming sector is desired
