The Restaurant Group (TRG) is a significant player in the UK casual dining market, operating over 500 restaurants and pubs in the UK casual dining sector. Their portfolio includes brands such as Garfunkels, Frankie & Benny’s, Chiquitos, Firejacks and Joe’s Kitchen.
Carter Murray were assigned to find TRG their Marketing Manager for Frankie & Benny’s and two Marketing Executives. To thrive within the ambitious business, the individual would need the ability to work in a fast-paced, commercial and flexible working environment. Everyone is hands on and holds strong experience within established brands, and are very ambitious.
Based at TRG’s London HQ the successful candidate for the Marketing Manager for Frankie & Benny’s would be tasked in pushing forward the restaurants rebrand and creating the marketing strategy across more than 200 restaurants.
Furthermore, the successful candidate for the Marketing Executive opportunity would need to work across multiple brands and to assist Marketing Managers in the deployment of their marketing strategy.
One of the challenges of the search was identifying individuals who had the relevant multi-site experience, but also had a strong level of commercial acumen to compliment the company’s culture. Carter Murray invested an immense amount of time to ensure that all stakeholders agreed with the role and person specifications. The search was incredibly widespread, considering all major Restaurants, Retailers and FMCG businesses, but highlighting candidates who have spent time in more entrepreneurial organisations.
