The NSPCC is the leading children's charity in the UK, specialising in child protection and dedicated to the fight for every childhood. The NSPCC is the only UK children's charity with statutory powers that means action can be taken to safeguard children at risk of abuse.
Following a period of digital transformation, the NSPCC identified the need to recruit a Head of Digital to take its digital estate forward over the next five year period. The function consisted of over thirty employees with a blend of skills across content, digital marketing and development.
Carter Murray were retained by the NSPCC in order to map out the very best digital talent in the UK. As the NSPCC team were market leading in the Charity sector Carter Murray were briefed on ensuring the shortlist consisted of a blend of commercial and charity backgrounds.
Through a thorough mapping exercise Carter Murray identified and long-listed the best available talent to the NSPCC. The lead Consultant then completed a rigorous interview process across two rounds, resulting in a fully qualified shortlist, delivered ahead of schedule.
The NSPCC progressed two candidates to final, presentation stage. The top candidate was then progressed to meet the CEO for a final check on suitability to the organisation. A successful appointment was made, with the preferred candidate joining the NSPCC in summer 2017.
