The Client

Knight Frank is the leading independent property consultancy in the UK offering agency and professional advice across Commercial, Residential and Rural sectors. Established in 1896, Knight Frank now comprises a global network of over 400 offices.

Client’s Need

Carter Murray were instructed to source an interim Group Publications Manager responsible for pulling together the marketing surrounding four major publications that get released annually.

Based at Knight Franks’ Head Office, the Group Publications Manager would be the single point of contact for all marketing requirements surrounding the Wealth Report, Private View and Global Cities and Skyscraper Index, as well as providing on-going marketing support to the team.

Our Solution

One of the main challenges of this role was identifying a candidate who wanted to work on a daily rate basis and had the right ‘luxury’ publications experience as well as the broader marketing experience and understanding required to successfully take on this role. Carter Murray went through a thorough job spec with the client to make sure they were able to move quickly and keep the process as smooth as possible. Carter Murray made sure candidates had a range of experience from different backgrounds to give the client the best opportunity to find the right candidate.

The Result

Carter Murray appointed the clients first choice candidate who the client had said was a great fit for the company and had just the right experience to get buy-in from key people in the business whilst being able to work autonomously. Whilst the second interviewed candidate wasn’t offered this role, Knight Frank did want to stress that should a position arise in the company that was suitable, they would take her on in a heartbeat.
