Free Support for Small Charities
2018 sees the launch of our exciting free initiative to bring together charities and Marketing & Commercial professionals in our network. As a business, we are increasingly learning that our Marketing & Commercial community want to know more about making the transition into organisations whose mission goes beyond-profit, by becoming a Trustee or offering pro-bono support; we feel our new Volunteer Network will create a practical solution.
Our Team Up project is just one of the exciting projects we have designed to strengthen our commitment to our Social Purpose programme.
Our Volunteer Network
Team Up is a completely free initiative and aims to support charities with an income of less than £1m who may need Marketing, Commercial or Communications advice and support but have limited resources and budget or for those with a limited network looking to add a Marketing professional to their Trustee Board. Team Up will enable charities to access creative professionals like you who have agreed to offer their time and valuable resources. We currently have over 100 people in our network and its growing all the time.
Why become a trustee?
Trusteeship is one of the most important voluntary roles in the charity sector. Trustees give direction to a charity and are ultimately responsible for its activities. There are lots of small charities working for diverse causes who could really benefit from the time and skills you could offer them as a trustee, for more information please follow the link http://www.smallcharities.org.uk/why-become-a-trustee/
How can pro-bono work support charities?
We believe in the value of skills based volunteering. As a Marketing or Commercial professional you have the much-needed expertise to help charities grow and achieve more. The way in which you could potentially support may differ, from short-term one-off projects. We aim to offer you a range of different opportunities that can accommodate your area or expertise, level of commitment and time to give.
So how does it work?
Carter Murray will support you on the journey to becoming a Trustee or connect you to valuable pro-bono Marketing & Commercial support opportunities in organisations that need your help. If you would like to join our Volunteer Network complete our registration form here. Alternatively you may want to talk to Jo Major, our Social Responsibility Lead for more information at firstname.lastname@example.org
You will be added to our group and emailed each time we have a new opportunity available with a charity. We will give you full details on the charity, their mission and what they are looking for. We will provide you with the direct contact details of the charity and encourage you to get in touch with them if you are interested or would like to know more.
If the opportunity isn’t for you, you don’t need to do anything at all, just wait for the next one to come through. We are simply making the connection between you and the charity, we do not get involved in the process. Naturally, if you need our advice or support at any stage we are available.
