Tomorrow's leaders need your nomination today

Nominations for The Marketing Academy Australia Leaders Programme 2016 are open

Following the graduation of the inaugural cohort of The Marketing Academy’s Australia Leaders programme, the Academy today announced that nominations for places on the second year of this unique, free development programme are now open.

Between March and October 2016 the Australia Leaders Programme will provide up to 30 ambitious and talented leaders with the unique opportunity to access the industry’s greatest minds and develop their skills to help them make it to the top of their field. Delegates take part in one-on-one mentoring, leadership development, residential ‘bootcamps’ and executive coaching. The Academy also hosts a series of Lectures for the cohort, and selected industry guests, given by experts from Australia and around the world.

Adam Ross, Head of Co Creation at Mindshare and one of the delegates of 2015 programme said: ‘When I was nominated for The Marketing Academy, I didn’t really know too much about it, so whilst I really wanted to get onto the programme I wasn’t desperate. Knowing what I know now though, I really should have been! It is not just something that will propel me forward in my career, but has been a genuine life-changing experience’.

Rigorous selection process

Being selected for a place on programme is not easy, and all potential candidates must first be nominated via an online portal. All nominees are then invited to apply and will enter a 3 stage competitive selection process which includes submission of ‘showcase’, taking part in a pitch process and attending a panel interview.

Mick McKeown, Head of International Brands at Carlton & United Breweries and 2015 delegate said: ‘Being part of the first Australian Marketing Academy has been extraordinary experience that has not only helped me grow as a leader but also as a person. I am truly grateful for what I have learnt and the people I have met, and whilst the selection process is intense the reward is truly priceless.’

Candidates from all sectors within marketing, media or advertising will be assessed against a criteria which requires between 10 and 20 years work experience.
